Blogger Trade: Brandon

I have been trying to catch up on my Zistle trade posts that I have neglected the trades I have completed off of Zistle.  With that, let us get a few of those in over the weekend.

Brandon is a fellow card collector who reached out via email.  He's done a some trading with a bunch of other, more caught up, Bloggers.  He looked over my Zistle trade and want lists and put together a nice trade package.

Here is what I received from Brandon.  Not a bad mix of parallels, relics, and an auto card.

I think this trade was completed just about a year ago.  Brandon, sorry for the slow turnaround!  Thanks for the trade (and your patience)!

Zistle Trade #40: bdlehman18

Here is another trade with user Brian.  He requested a few needs and sent along a couple of Mets in this trade.

That 2011 Topps Gypsy Queen card is the mini version of R.A. Dickey.  Keen observers would note that this is not Dickey on the card, but rather Mike Pelfrey.  Does this make the card a photo variation card?  I am pretty sure some eBay seller is trying (or has tried) to pass it off as one.

Zistle Trade #23

This Zistle trade is my second trade with user dvdgao.  He is a St. Louis Cardinals fan and requested some more Cardinals cards in this trade.  Here is what he sent my way.  Not a bad assortment of Mets cards with a nice auto card of Ike Davis.

One of my earliest posts here was about Ike getting traded to the Pirates.  I was with Team Ike instead Team Duda at the time, but later realized that the Mets made the right decision.

Ike is currently playing first base for the Oakland A's in a platoon situation.  Lucas Duda was third in the National League in home runs in 2014.  Duda has been struggling at the plate this year, but he has       turned into one of the top defensive first basemen in baseball.

Trade with an Underdog

I have been actively seeking good homes for all of my non-baseball cards.  I have pretty much taken care of hockey (only 3 more cards to go!) and have made some progress with the football and basketball cards.

I had a small stack of San Diego Chargers that I was looking for a nice home.  I used Zistle to look for some potential trade partners when I found Zach of The Underdog Collector.  He was more than happy to take these cards off my hands and sent along some nice Mets cards in return.

Zach also sent over this oversized Dwight Gooden.  It was a nice suprise and my first oversized Mets card!  Thanks Zach!

Zach blogged about our trade back in October.  You can really see how far behind from current time I am on these posts.

Let me know if you would like some football and basketball cards.  I saw a couple other blogs offering their unwanted non-baseball cards.  I will hopefully be reaching out to those that commented on those posts soon.

Zistle Trade #5

Another Zistle trade in the books.  This one with user hpennington22.  He has completed the most trades on the site and the only user with over 100 trades completed.

He initiated this trade for some of my 2014 Topps Heritage duplicates.  This time the Mets cards were not the majority of what I received.  Since I show my Mets cards here, though, these are the Mets that I received:

The scan does not do justice to the R.A. Dickey card.  It is so much better looking in person!

Only one current Met of the bunch.  As much as I like Ike Davis, it looks like the Mets made the right choice by trading him and giving Lucas Duda more playing time.  Duda has really turned into a respectable player and has shown he can handle being an every day player at first base.  He hit his 22nd home run of the season in today's lost to the Cubs.
